Yoga makes people say nice things

“We have been doing yoga together for so long and I am feeling emotional writing this. Doing yoga with you I learned that yoga is not about trying to do difficult postures but listening to your body and understanding what it really wants. I love your philosophy and giving us the flexibility to make the session our own rather than just following you. I really want to thank you for all those face to face and online sessions.” - Gizi

“As a self employed person my schedule can be tricky and sometimes derails previously laid plans, BUT I now put YOGA in caps, in my diary for Tues and Thurs so other incoming stuff has to take second place to yoga. That’s how important your classes are to me. (Unless Spielberg calls, obv.)

I have now been an attendee for years. I know! I love how inclusive, warm and friendly those classes are. I genuinely feel that the other attendees are friends. When I leave, I honestly feel lighter, taller, springier, more able to cope with all life’s thorny bits. You have created such a gorgeous atmosphere that I look forward to each class.” - Joan

“Welcoming friendly classes that leave me happier and with more energy.  Permission, actual encouragement, to choose your own pace and make whatever adjustments you feel like.  The guidance for me is spot on, some of the visualisation ‘tricks’ are so memorable that I use them at home.” - Vicky

“I loved the meditation sessions with Sue because they honestly felt like a warm hug to myself. I find it SO hard to 'be' in the moment and yet Sue made it not seem like hard work at all. She was a joy and made me laugh a lot, but also gave me the confidence to keep on trying and just enjoying seeing where I end up in my relationship with being aware and present. I would highly recommend Sue's meditation classes and can't wait to go to more.” - Sima

“I so appreciate your classes. They have become a really important part of my weekly routine, and I always look forward to seeing you and the other people on the Tuesday, and on the Sundays too.

You’re a great communicator and I do like your sense of humour. I like the balance between being challenged and being allowed to do what we want, it’s invigorating and supportive.

So many thanks for doing what you do, it’s great!” - John

“Just wanted to say thanks for a great class, my neck and shoulders have been really tight and painful this week and I had a crappy day today, but after the class I feel a million times better, physically and mentally, thank you!” - Fiona

“Although the year has zoomed breathlessly by, your classes have always managed to allow us to take a breath and be nourished by your wonderful teaching.

Away from class too I have managed to take your wonderful teaching with me. Learning to take a breath, (properly through each nostril!!) and listen to ourselves, others and beautiful nature that surrounds us has been so valuable. A life changer.

So thank you, thank you for being you!  For your gentleness, your skill and very importantly your sense of humour!” - Deborah

“I massively appreciate your positivity and inclusiveness during your classes; it really feels like we are all in the class with you even though we are all in different locations.”- Amelia

“Until I found your class, I was doing yoga with YouTube. My life was becoming far too insular and it was time to get out there and join a yoga class and I had been looking for the right class for some time. You were it in every way. Your style of yoga is exactly what I like and your lovely sense of humour and the joy you bring to the class makes it a very special experience. The people in the Coolhurst class reflect this - they are a lovely, warm bunch who really care. In the past no one greeted me when I walked into a class. Your class is friendly, welcoming and warm.

Your classes are always varied with a lot of fun and some good, old hard work too. They are very freeing.” - Lisa

“Cannot recommend enough. Great combination of workout and relaxation. Sue is an incredibly knowledgeable teacher and creates an inspiring and friendly environment. Sue’s guidance has allowed me to gain more self-awareness and has encouraged me to better listen to my body. 10 out of 10!” - Sandra

“I really like the way you present your yoga class, always clear instructions with good humour that tickles me.

I like to have challenges in the poses, and even though my stamina is not that great ( and I’ve a few vulnerable points), I know I can choose to stop and rest if necessary.  It also plays an important place for socialising which helps mental health as well. Plus the relaxation and chimes are a treat.

I’m so glad we found you as a yoga teacher.” - Ruth

“Sue's creative approach to her yoga classes is something you will rarely find anywhere else in London. She's really perceptive, and tunes the intensity of the practice to our mood, which creates a great personalised atmosphere. Doing yoga with her calms you down and fills you with positive energy from within.” - Andrea

“I'm a total yoga novice but joined Sue's sessions in Alexandra Palace and would recommend any of her classes to anyone who needs to take an hour for themselves.

Sue's classes cater for all levels and she always encourages us to do what feels right for us and to listen to our bodies.

Her sessions have helped me to re-center and cope better with pressure. Everyone in the classes is friendly and welcoming and Sue is always generous, warm and very, very funny.” - Hoda

Your yoga class is an oasis of calm & friendship in my otherwise frazzled life.

I love the way you talk us through the session so that we don’t even notice the ‘hard work’ of the poses we are doing.” - Alleyna

“I’ve definitely noticed a difference since starting these meditation sessions; I can catch myself now, during the day, when I’m overthinking, or about to start worrying about something, and I can feel the awareness that I have the control as to how to react or continue.

Literally just in the last three weeks of doing this practice, I can feel a change; there’s a realisation that my mind isn’t ‘me’ and it doesn’t have to control me.” - Rachel

“I’ve really enjoyed your classes. They’re not just exercise, like some I’ve come across. I like having the time to think about what my body’s doing and how it’s responding.

I like how you move us from one posture to another and your sense of fun. It’s also been great to meet the others afterwards -  so it’s a really good venue, and experience.” - Jennifer
